Springtime...

Bryan snowmobiling in front of our house after the last blizzard-April 29. This is after most of it melted, it was the most snow we had all year! The road had drifts up to 4 feet deep.

The Crazy Mountains

Picnic on Bridger Pass on the way to Bozeman.

Western Ranch Supply came out to the ranch and put on a demonstration day last week. Marvin bought this hydraulic chute from them last fall. They brought scales, chutes, calf tables, and had lots of good information on ID and vaccinations.

The 4H club provided lunch for the day, but Issac couldn't wait to eat.

Issac is trying to crawl! He gets up on his hands and knees (or toes) and rocks back and forth until he rolls over. One of these days he is going to figure out how to move the hands and feet together.

Bryan farming-planting spring wheat.

Bryan and Issac in the tractor.

Tulips, what a wonderful sign of spring!

What a busy month it has been! Sarah started her new job in Lewistown, Bryan was finally able to get in the fields to start farming, and Issac is 8 months old today! After the last blizzard, the fields were too wet to do anything until this last week. Bryan and Marvin have been so anxious to get the spring wheat planted, since they usually have it in by the end of April or beginning of May. Today Bryan is out spraying for cheat grass with the new sprayer. With a 90 foot boom, it shouldn't take him as long (except maybe to fix the sections of fence he takes out turning it around!) Got the garden planted a few days ago, and was glad to see that the strawberries and raspberries survived the winter. We also have an apple tree to plant, a gift for Sarah's birthday from Marvin and Cindy. Issac just loves being outside! We have been taking him in the pickup with us to feed the cows, hikes up in the Little Belts with Mom, and he loves to play outside in the yard. He is really developing his own personality, doing lots of talking, and rolling anywhere he wants to get to. He enjoys opening and closing the coffee table doors and pulling out all the movies. Well, I better get a few other things done while Issac is napping (the first time in the last 3 days!) Enjoy the beautiful spring weather while it lasts!
